Dear Members of the FSDDS:
It is my sincere honor to be elected as your new President. My predecessor, Brad Glick, DO, MPH, led our organization with strength and positivity despite the many challenges that the previous year brought. Therefore, I want to thank him for his leadership, guidance and perseverance.
In the year ahead, I hope to focus on advocacy, networking and increasing member involvement. In that light, I would like to introduce you to our leadership
, show you our organizational structure
, and ask you to please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you wish to join a committee
. The strength of our specialty relies on the strength and contributions of our members like you. So please take the next step and get involved.
I also want to let you know that we are already planning our next FSDDS Annual Meeting, which will take place June 24-26, 2022, at Naples Grande. Over the course of this year, you will continue to hear more about the meeting, which promises to deliver outstanding educational sessions and poster exhibits, a robust exhibitor suite, camaraderie among colleagues, family-friendly hotel facilities, fun networking events, as well as beautiful beaches and sunsets.
In addition to featuring expert speakers from Florida and across the country, next year’s meeting will highlight the art of dermatology. In keeping with this theme, our meeting will be referred to as FSDDS 2022: The Art of Dermatology
. To celebrate the art of our specialty, we will host an art exhibit displaying original artwork created by you, your families and your patients. More details will follow, but in the meantime, please bring out your inner artist, choose your artistic medium, and recruit your families and patients to do the same.
I look forward to serving as your President, and will lead with the mission of making sure our society remains meaningful to you, our specialty and our patients.
