 Message from the President

Brad P Glick, DO, MPH, FAAD, FAOCD
FSDDS President
The Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery (FSDDS) was established in 1930. Ninety years after our inception, our mission remains the same: to serve as an advocate for all Florida dermatologists and our patients, to promote excellence in dermatologic care, to ensure the highest standards for dermatologic medical education, and to enhance the quality and availability of dermatologic healthcare to all Floridians.

Your FSDDS has a long history of robust and successful advocacy in Tallahassee. We support and maintain the nation's most active state dermatology PAC - The Dermatology PAC of Florida. We led the charge for direct access to dermatologists in our state, a law that is now enshrined in our statutes. We have close relationships with the Florida Board of Medicine. For 2020 and beyond, we are fighting dangerous scope-of-practice expansion by nurses and PAs, helping preserve citizens' access to sunscreens, and protecting our patients from practitioners who falsely claim to be "board-certified dermatologists."

In addition to our advocacy efforts, your FSDDS strives to identify and present quality educational programming that will help dermatologists master emerging best practices for medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.

If you are interested in getting involved in the FSDDS please contact our office.
